Overview
BillZen is a personal bill tracker. It works without a connection to your bank, so we never see your bank credentials, account balances, or transactions. We don't show ads and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
What data we collect
Your account
Your email address and name, used to sign in and to contact you about your account. If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, we receive only your email address and display name from it.
Your bills
The bills you add: name, amount, currency, category, due date, how often it repeats, payment status, payment history, and any notes. This is the information BillZen needs to show your timeline, calculate what's coming, and remind you on time.
Your household
On the Family plan, the names and email addresses of the people you invite, which bills are shared with them, who is assigned to pay each bill, and who marked it as paid. Shared bills are visible only to members of your household.
Reminders
Your reminder settings and, if you turn on push notifications, a notification token for your device. We use these only to send the reminders you asked for.
Paid plans
If you subscribe to Pro or Family, payments are handled by our payment provider or app store. We receive your plan, billing period, and subscription status — never your full card number.
No bank connection
BillZen doesn't connect to your bank and doesn't ask for bank logins, card numbers, or account access. You enter your bills yourself and mark them as paid, so your financial accounts stay entirely out of our hands.
What we don't do
We don't show ads, sell or rent your data, or share it with data brokers. The BillZen app doesn't include advertising trackers or analytics SDKs, and we don't use your bill data for marketing or profiling.
Cookies & website analytics
The BillZen app uses only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. This website (personalbilltracker.com) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our pages, such as which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked. This helps us improve the site; it isn't used for advertising.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run BillZen: hosting for our servers and database, an email service for reminders and account emails, push notification services from Apple and Google, and payment providers for paid plans. They process data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and stored on secured servers. Access is limited to what's needed to operate the service.
Data retention & deletion
You can edit or delete any bill at any time. You can delete your account from the app's settings or by emailing [email protected] — we'll delete your bills, payment history, and account data within 30 days. If you leave a household, bills you shared there stay with the household owner.
Children's privacy
BillZen is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you by email of any significant changes. The latest version is always available on this page.
